Tyler is an award winning Austin, Texas based designer with 23 years of experience developing graphic languages and brand systems for startups, fast growth as well as dozens of fortune 500 companies.
His clients and employers rely on his extensive experience and skill at creating powerful campaigns and sleek assets across a range of platforms and use cases. Tyler is able to work across web, digital, identity, social & print platforms and has experience working with UX, responsive web, style guides, branding, creative direction, typography, imagery and content marketing. In addition to design excellence, Tyler also implements clear communication and leadership skills to be successful.
Tyler is the design lead of the Brand, Marketing & Communication team of Korn Ferry, the world’s leading organizational consulting firm. Tyler has helped build this team from the ground up, growing from 3 to 30 employees sitting inside of Korn Ferry, a $4B+ dollar corporation with ~10,000 associates globally. Before KF, he was the Art Director at the award winning tech agency DeLaune & Associates–a key vendor for IBM Security–and has worked for National Public Radio, Smithsonian, Diesel, The Art Directors Club NYC, Aquent, Nomad Ink, Gartner, and others.
Originally from Washington D.C., he has lived, studied and worked in Washington D.C., Austin, NYC, Paris, Italy, Brazil and Portugal. He attained a BFA from Parsons NYC & Paris as well as a masters degree from ESAD in Portugal, both in communication design with a focus on cross-cultural design and narrative structures. He taught 4 years in the Academy of Art online MFA design course in San Francisco and one semester as an adjunct faculty at St. Edward’s University in Austin. He has lectured widely, run workshops on design, drawing and typography across Latin America, and his work has appeared in design publications in Brazil, China, Germany, the United States and the UK.
